PICUM
puts out a monthly
newsletter on the human rights of undocumented migrants in Europe. The
newsletter includes news items from EU Member States (also including Switzerland
and the United States), policy development on the European and national levels,
descriptions of new projects and initiatives, and announcement of events. The
newsletter is meant to be a useful tool for grassroots organizations and
individuals working with or on issues concerning undocumented migrants.
To increase support for undocumented migrants in Europe, PICUM aims to reach out more efficiently to organizations and individuals by offering the newsletter in several languages. If you can translate from English to French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, German or Dutch, and would be interested in helping to promote undocumented migrants’ rights, please contact PICUM for more information: administration@picum.org
In recognition of all of the work done by our volunteer translators and interns, we held a thank-you brunch on December 18th, 2004 in Brussels. We were happy to have the gathering on a symbolic date - December 18th is International Migrants Day - for an event which we hope will become an annual occasion to meet some of the people who contribute to PICUM's work on a regular basis through translations or other work.
