Stichting LOS works on issues regarding the living conditions of undocumented migrants. It is a support point for people who are providing assistance to undocumented migrants.

OKIA was formed in 1992 at the request of undocumented Moroccan and Turkish Kurdish workers who were formed in committees. The  Haarlem "Stem in de Stad" (voice in the town) – programme of the workgroup "refugees" is leaded by the council of churches. They have counselling hours for rejected asylum seekers. If it is necessary, they receive people in two living units, sufficient for about seven persons. The houses are constantly full; therefore some particular persons receive people, too. They aim to give a shelter to people not longer than for a period of three months and only to them who specially are concerned by the new alien law. They give legal support, too.

The SRA gives legal assistance to asylum seekers meanwhile their procedure is pending before a court. In every reception centre (aanmeldcentrum –AC) and in every research centre (onderzoekcentrum –OC) there is a bar.
